New Release 💗 Impossible Bachelor (Bachelor Tower Series, Book 2) by Ruth Cardello

Ben
I like a challenge. Tell me something’s impossible and I’ll make it happen.
From our very first meeting it’s obvious the Bachelor Tower’s newest female
addition doesn’t think I’m her type. When I’m asked to distract her from the
politics of the building, she tells me I have no chance with her.
Proving her wrong will be fun and might just take us to the brink of
love.

I ask her to trust me, but I’m not prepared for what she shares when she does.

Kylie
My life was following a set plan before he comes into it and turns everything
upside down. Sure, he’s sexy as hell with a smile that can melt any heart—but I
can’t afford to make another mistake. In my experience, the only people who can
hurt me are the ones I let in.

He says he’s different, that he understands me.

He says that until I show him who I really am.

Then love is. . .impossible?

“Wowhot at every page. Heart stoping, fear raging, mind blowing wonderful.”

“I’m a true fan of Ms. Cardello. I ran on to her first book a few years back and have
been hooked ever since. I could go on and on about the story line of this book,
but I’m not. All of her books are total page turners, unique, heart wrenching,
and I love them all. There isn’t two alike in the bunch and I feel like I know
the characters personally. I personally read 97 authors books. And I buy every
book they put out. This author is in my top 10. Great job and keep them
coming.”

“Love this series. Got me to start reading again. I look forward to the next book.
Thank you for giving me the love of reading back.”

over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather
and international scene.

She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school
district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love-
writing and has never been happier. When she’s not writing, you can find her
chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

New Release + 5 Star ARC Review 🌺 Behind Me By Piper Reagan

Behind Me by Piper Reagan
Reviewed by Jackie

If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. What an amazing first full length novel from new author Piper Reagan. I thought her first book Fast Forward was good, but if she keeps going at this pace, she is going to have a incredible career as an author.

Josephine (Joss) has lost her way in life. From that fateful day ten years ago to now, she has kept herself isolated, only having a few friends. On a night out with the girls, she lands in the arms of a handsome stranger, Cain. A night of incredible chemistry and mind blowing sex has Joss sneaking out the next morning to keep her secret hidden. But Cain is not one to give up. He is going to make this girl his, no matter what she is hiding.

I couldn’t put this book down. It takes you on a journey of every emotion you could imagine. Joss and Cain are written with such incredible chemistry it will have you cheering for them. I didn’t want their story to end. Be prepared to sit and take all of this book in one sitting. If things like sleep and work didn’t get in my way, I would have holed up for hours. Piper Reagan, thank you for such an extraordinary story. You have a fan for life. I can’t wait to see where your stories take me next.

Synopsis

don’t even know who I am anymore.
Josephine… My birth name. The one my parents gave me and the one they can have. It makes me no difference.
Joss… That’s what my friends call me. I like it. It means they know me. Sort of.
Blue J… My stage name. It hides me when I need it to.
Bird… That’s what he calls me. And he’s the only one.

He gave me a new name. One that was branded on my skin our first night together, placed there by his lips. The night that was supposed to be our first and our last. Because if he sees the me hiding behind the fake name, will he even want me?

Cain
She slipped out, right through my fingers. But that won’t work for me. Her voice made an impression, her touch left its mark. And when I find her, I’ll make sure she remembers the way it felt.

But how can a girl who hides herself, living her life in a convent and afraid to face the world, ever fall for a man who kills people for a living? Can the death row prison guard and the girl struggling to break free come together? Or will their differences keep them from finding their forever?

Behind Me is a contemporary romance with adult language and sexual content and is intended for an audience 18 and over.

5 Star Review 💗 Fighting Weight by Gillian Jones

Fighting Weight-Gillian Jones

Reviewed by Jacqui

This book is definitely going to be on my Top 10 list. This powerful book deals with a very sensitive subject of bulimia. It’s unfortunately a “bully” that holds so many captive. Gillian Jones dealt with the subject in an amazing way. You get an insight of what someone who suffers from bulimia inner monologue looks like. It also goes into another disorder, body dysmorphia. As someone who has dealt with this, I could relate to what Alina was feeling. Dealing with your own inner demons is a daily struggle for some.

The story of Alina and Slater was so well written it kept me up late reading. I wanted to cry with the characters and high five Slater for being in Alina’s corner throughout the story. It’s a story that shows that true love can overcome the challenges presented. Nobody is perfect but finding that one person who can help get you through and battle with you is out there. Accept the help no matter how long it takes. Gillian Jones, what an amazing story you have created that can touch so many in one way or another. We all have our demons and you found a sensitive way to approach them while stealing our hearts. Thank you.

Synopsis

We all have that voice inside our heads.

The one that speaks to us incessantly. That voice we trust to make the right decisions, to keep us on a positive path, even when others try to bring us down.

But what happens when that voice changes?
When it’s no longer a voice of reason, a voice of comfort giving us a pep talk when we need them?

What happens when that inner voice turns into a bully?

You’re fat.
Don’t you dare eat that.
You’ll never be as pretty as her.
You’ll never be as good as them.
You’re lazy. You’re stupid.
You are disgusting.
You. Are. Nothing.

What happens when that inner voice makes your body take its side?
Binge.
Purge.
Binge
Purge.

And what happens when the bully starts to win?

If your name is Alina Cassidy, then you fight like hell.

Warning: May contain subject matter that some readers may find sensitive. But I promise a traditional HEA.

5 Star Review ❣️ Crazy Sexy Notion: A Second Chance Romance by Sarah Darlington

Crazy Sexy Notion by Sarah Darlington

Reviewed by Jacqui

I loved this book! Already a fan of Sarah Darlington, she showed me why with this book. A story of promises made and seeing them through.

Mickey and Raven have a history together living in a trailer park as kids. When Mickey was taken out of the park by his dad, he promised Raven he would come back for her. Now 15 years later, he returns to the place that holds a lot of bad memories for him. He’s back to fulfill his promise to Raven to get her out of there. A crazy idea to say the least. Especially when he finds out his childhood friend thinks he is her next client. When she realizes who he is, the anger resurfaces and she doesn’t trust him. But as they take a ride across the country back to where Mickey, or Mick as he is now known, is a minor league ball player. It’s not a world Raven is used to. But to find a life that is better for her and her daughter, she will have to place that trust back in Mickey.

Sarah Darlington writes stories that are easy to follow and suck you in. I liked the story of Raven and Mickey. I liked the personal battles they had to overcome to learn to trust again. This was a no brainer  read for me. Thank you Sarah Darlington for once again writing a story I couldn’t put down.

Synopsis

Mick hasn’t seen or spoken to his childhood friend Raven in fifteen years. He has no idea what to expect. He bangs on her trailer door only to find—well, there’s no easy way to say this— she is a prostitute! A prostitute who immediately mistakes Mick for one of her clients!

Even crazier still—Mick decides that despite her profession he should bring her home with him. He should do whatever he can to help her. He should work to correct all the mistakes of his past. It would help if she didn’t hate him. But Mick’s never been one to turn down a challenge.

5 Star Review ✻ Corps Security in Hope Town: Fast Forward (Kindle Worlds Novella) by Piper Reagan

Fast Forward – Piper Reagan

Reviewed by Jackie

First off, congrats on your debut book! Piper Reagan if there was a 10 star review, I would give it to you. You have combined the story of Gineva and Jarrett with other members of Harper Sloan’s Hope Town, including my main Corps Security guy Maddox Locke, as well as Caleb and Honor from The Fighting Series from JB Salsbury. I devoured this book and didn’t want it to end. I loved these characters.

Gineva Derosa and Jarrett Dean were best friends in high school. What should have been the best night of her life, and their last night together, turned into the worst night. Now, years later, Gineva, or Gin as only Jarrett called her, is in Hope Town to help out everyone’s favorite salon owner, Sway, with getting his salon back on track. What she didn’t plan on was running into Jarrett, the one true love of her life, and answering the hard questions of what happened that fateful night. Both Gin and Jarrett owe it to each other to remember that night and then decide where to go from there. Getting through that conversation is tough and entertaining.

Everything about this book was enjoyable. The book had me laughing at the antics of the people of Hope Town. With the talent of these three authors, how could you not get lost in the stories? Thank you Piper Reagan for the chance to read your debut book. I can’t wait to see more from you!!

He was my best friend, my driving force. It was our last night together, and I screwed it all up. I know this. But I never thought he’d walk out on me no matter how hard I pushed. He did.

When Jarrett Dean, NHRA Funny Car driver speeds into Hope Town, the last person he expects to run into is Gineva Derosa. His Gin. His one true love.
No… the one who pushed him away. And now it’s time for answers.

Gineva planned on breezing into Hope Town for a couple of weeks to help her friend Sway clean up a mess he found himself in. That’s it. She never expected the past hitting her at full force and demanding answers to questions she didn’t want to touch.
But they touched her alright. She couldn’t fight the pull. Couldn’t deny the feelings.
So she pushed, but this time he wasn’t walking away.

Fast Forward is a Corps Security in Hope Town Kindle Worlds story. It’s filled with your favorite characters from the series along with some new ones you can’t help but fall in love with.
Welcome to Hope Town.

Flash Point (High Sierras 1)

Diane Benefiel

Reviewed by Jacqui
Once again Diane Benefiel has written a story that captured me from page 1. Her ability to tell a story that makes you want to keep reading is incredible. This time her story focuses on Emmaline Kincaid or Emma. She has just inherited her grandfather’s fishing resort. She has no idea what to do but vows to make it work. With a little elbow grease and the help of new friends, she starts rebuilding what her grandfather started and a place she has fond memories of. Unfortunately, someone in the small town of Hangman’s Loss has other ideas and is desperate to run her out of town.

But as every great story it needs a hot sheriff who can help keep her safe, and maybe fall in love with her. Everyone knows Chief Bradley Gallagher in Hangman’s Loss. He is a standup guy who will do just about anything for you. But when he meets Emma, his focus turns to one thing, keeping her safe and finding out who is trying to destroy her. Up for the challenge Chief Gallagher sticks close to Emma and will protect her at any cost. What he didn’t expect was to find the one person that completes him and makes solving this case even more important.

Diane Benefiel you blow me away every time I read one of your books. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Hangman’s Loss. Thank you for bringing us Emma and Brad’s story.

Reconsidering Her Options

Stalwart, honest, a stand-up guy – high praise, right? Wears his jeans just right, single, a catch – pretty much everyone in Hangman’s Loss, a quirky little town in the Eastern Sierras, adores the hell out of Police Chief Bradley Gallagher. Yet, new resident Emma Kincaid is determined to keep him at arm’s length, and with good reason. But vandalism, arson, and a violent attack have her rethinking her stance. Has someone from her past caught up with her, or is the escalating threat coming from within her newfound community? Sparks fly as Brad races against time to keep her safe, and passions combust when they join forces to combat the danger.

Excerpt

Okay, there was a cop out there and not all cops were bad.
That was rational. She wasn’t a kid again, in a patrol car paralyzed by terror.
Dread gripped her at the realization that, as much as she hated the idea, she
would have to trust this cop.

“I repeat, this is the police. Come out with your hands up.”

Bracing herself, she tried to speak but a dry throat made her voice inaudible.
A convulsive swallow, and she tried again. “I’m coming out.”
Cautious, she eased into the doorway. She pushed open the screen, grip tight on
the heavy flashlight, then hesitated, blinded by the powerful beam of his
light.
He stood in front of the porch, a shadow darker than the rest. “Stop. Lower
your flashlight to the floor.”
Emma ordered herself not to freak out. Crouching, she reluctantly set down her
only possible weapon. “This is my place. I can be here.” Even to her own ears,
her voice sounded tight with dread.
“We’ll figure that out.” When she’d risen again, he continued, “Put your hands
behind your head and come down the steps.”
Emma raised her arms, linking her fingers behind her head. Slowly she moved
forward. That voice kept whispering in the back of her mind. He could be a
rogue cop. He could rape and kill her, bury her body out in the woods somewhere
and no one would even know she was gone. If he made one wrong move, she’d take
her chances and run. Poised for flight, she couldn’t keep a hard shiver from
wracking her body.
“What’s your name?”
His voice had a low timbre that was somehow calming. They probably taught the
technique in cop school. She tried to see beyond the blinding light but
couldn’t make out his features. “My name is Emma, and this is my property.” She
paused. “Can I put my hands down?”
She’d never felt more vulnerable in her life when the cop ignored her question
and moved behind her. She tensed as he gripped her wrists with one warm hand
and conducted a quick pat down with the other. “Is there anyone with you?”
Her heart beating so hard it was a wonder she didn’t pass out. Emma conducted a
fast internal debate on whether to admit there was no one else, but realized
she had no choice. She was alone. “It’s just me.”
The unyielding presence behind her made her hyperaware. The creak of the
leather cop belt, the hiss of his radio, even the scuff of his boots on gravel
brought back frightening flashes of memory that served to reinforce that she
was at his mercy. And that this could go very, very badly for her. To the
depths of her soul, Emma hated feeling so vulnerable.
He released her clasped hands and moved to stand in front of her. Angling the
flashlight so it wasn’t shining directly in her face, he stood back, watchful.
A stillness settled over him. He stared at her, making her aware of the pull of
his gaze. After a long, arrested moment he appeared to gather himself.
“You can lower your hands now. Sit down on the steps.” He pulled the radio off
his belt, low voice reporting his location and situation, then strode back to
his vehicle to open the rear door.
Sinking onto the porch steps, Emma watched as he leaned inside to retrieve
something, then moved to the driver’s door to reach in and flip off the
headlights. His radio buzzed and he paused to respond. He had the sure,
economical movements of a supremely self-confident man.
The dome light of the SUV lit him from the side, showing a strong profile. His
eyes were on her but he was a good thirty feet away. He responded to the radio
and took his gaze off her to lean farther into the vehicle.
Watching him warily, Emma thought briefly, insanely, of running. She could do
it. Just slip into the darkness and find safety in the trees. But that would be
madness. So far he’d done nothing threatening, other than being a cop, and,
more importantly, she hadn’t done anything wrong. But having the legal right to
be here sure didn’t make her feel any safer.
“Don’t even think about it.”
Emma startled, looking up to find him staring at her across the distance.
Great, the cop was a mind reader.
