Reviewers note: Read the The Goodbye Man and the disclaimer first before you dive into this book. If you are up for the absolutely brilliant writing duo of Mary Palmerin and A. Giannoccaro twisted minds, you are in for one hell of a read.

With Mateo now in control of the Red Market in Mexico and Lettie missing, his world and mind are now crumbling around him. The darkness of love in Mateo consumes him and spirals him out of control. But when the real brain behind Red Market shows up to take back control and ruin the lives of everyone, Mateo and Lettie are pushed deeper into the shadows that challenges even the strongest to survive. And the strongest do. But, beware of what you wish for.

Once again, I’m pulled into a book that contains subject matter so taboo it would make most people throw the likes of the book in a woodpile and burn. The depravity of the characters is unimaginable but brought to life by the these amazing authors. As much as you want to not read it and enjoy it, you do because the raw and intense emotions of the characters is incredible and you feel it down in your soul. Was it hard to read the story? Sometimes. But when you get inside a character’s head as these two let you, it becomes more about the character’s and less about judging what they are doing. Call me twisted for loving both these stories. I’m okay with that. But don’t discount the intelligence of these writers and their unique ability to write this story. I for one hope for more from the duo. Until then, I will continue to read them individually and love every minute of it. Cheers to you both!!

Synopsis
