REVIEWED BY JACQUI
First thing. You need to read all the books to learn all the characters and backstory.
Now, how do I write this without giving too much away? I have no idea. Good thing there is a FB group to discuss with people. This book, the third in the Just an Illusion series, requires a box of Kleenex. Your emotions will be all over the place throughout the whole book. Don’t let this discourage you. This book is phenomenal and worth every shredded Kleenex I used (I sent a picture of my pile to the author). I would love to give this book 10 stars but there is no option for that. So I will do my best to give you the “no spoiler” review.
It’s been two years since Amelia Weston toured with the band Bastards and Dangerous with the help of her friend Belle. Her job was to write about the tour and give fans backstage access to the lives of the guys of BAD. What she got instead was an epic love story. A love of true friendship and one of the heart. When tragedy hits all members of the band, Amelia must now decide how to write her book. This book goes back through her tour time and gives insights to interviews she did and the beginning of her true love story. We get a chance to read her story along with her extended family. Her memories are both happy and sad but in the end, meant to be written. She pushes through the darkness to take that second chance at love.
I was glued to this book. I had to read while my husband was at work. The crying jags made me a mess. But at the same time, the story makes you look at your own life and the choices we make in our relationships. Of finding that true love that deserves an epic love story and to not take advantage of missing out on important events in our life. Whether Dee Kelly meant to or not, and I have to believe she did, is to live each day to the fullest. Find that person that makes your dreams come true and enjoy every day you have with them. Have your own grand love story that lasts a minimum of fifty years. I bow down to you Dee Kelly. You have a gift for storytelling. Thank you for rocking my world.
