Gunnar Haze, dirty talking, sex loving, hot lead singer of a band. The type of guy you wouldn’t take home to mother. Lacey Cummingings, music journalist, likes the bad boys, just out of of a controlling relationship with a Wall Street man approved by her mother. Put the two together and you have Metal & Lace. A story that’s been told but this one just focuses on the interactions of Gunnar and Lace. He tries to get her out of her head and comfort zone. She tries not to fall for him. Each has a lot to learn.
The story was great. I liked the chemistry of the two characters. Sometimes it felt like there was too much extra dialogue to try and make it funny or add something extra. It took me a bit to get into it. The story really drew me in at the end with the characters sharing some private time and their pasts. The story flowed better and I felt more into the characters at that point. It’s a quick read and I wish the epilogue would have been a little more. It is my first read from Lena Black so I am going to check out her other books. Thanks Lena Black! I look forward to checking out your other series!
