Kelly, best known for The Acceptance Series (#TeamMichael) has once again written a story that will make you fall in love. Chasing Cassidy is a story of first love, true love, fighting for love, and happily ever after love. But all that love comes with some dark secrets and for Cassidy Pope hurting the people you love is the only way to make it all happen. Fortunately for Cassidy, Zack Stafford isn’t going to let Cassidy run away from all of this. It may take some creative ways to remind Cassidy why they fell in love and what being lovable truly feels like, but she means that much to him. She hasn’t known that growing up and had some reminders that maybe she wasn’t good enough to be anybodies love.

This is a story that will touch your heart and soul. It will make you want to slap people, cheer for others, and then cry and be happy at the end! I loved this book and it is just another example of the brilliance of D. Kelly and her ability to bring a story to life and make you apart of it. If the hint at the end is anything, I think we are in for another wild book from this amazing author that is sure to take us places and make us go hmmm…. Thank you D. Kelly for letting us fall in love with Zack and Cassidy as much as you did.

Cassidy is a likable character, upbeat and sunny despite some huge storms that have shaped her.

Twins, Zack and Rylee meet up with Cassidy at age 6 and become inseparable forever friends…chosen family. In fact Zack, at age 8, announced that he’d marry Cassidy one day.

When that day arrives, Cassidy becomes a runaway bride. In the spirit of the title, Zack chases Cassidy…all the way to Hawaii.

With the romantic tropical backdrop, Zack sets out to remind his reluctant bride why she said yes in the first place.

Pour yourself a glass of iced tea and settle in for a cool summer read…which even includes stickie note sex. (Brilliant!)

Placing my hand behind her head, I gently roll her over and position myself on top of her. I’m going to make this girl feel the depths of my love if it’s the last thing I do in my life. “I love you,” I whisper a breath away from her lips then cover her mouth with mine. I take my time kissing her then pull away slightly.

“I’m going to love you and only you until the day I take my last breath,” I tell her softly before meeting her lips again, claiming them with mine. This time, I kiss her longer but still don’t breach her mouth with my tongue.

Again, I pull away just a bit but whisper into her mouth in hopes that my words will not only weave themselves into her mind but also into her heart. “Love is love. It comes without strings, without obligation, without judgment, without fear. It is unconditional and all-consuming. I couldn’t separate my love from you if I tried, so please stop trying to push me away because I’m not going anywhere, baby.”
