Derek Sawyer is the hottest driver in the racing circuit. Eager to become his own boss, he is about to land a deal with a new sponsor but wants to avoid the advances of the sponsors daughter. So when Derek runs into a childhood friend Lilly Harmon, he has just the plan.
Lilly Harmon just lost her job, her boyfriend, and her credibility. When Derek, her longtime crush approaches her for a business deal, it may be just what she needs to do to get her five year plan back on track. How hard can it be to pretend to be the fiance of someone you have dreamed about proposing to you? A little harder than she expected. Especially when those longtime feelings are still in play.
This was a fun book to read. The relationship between Derek and Lilly felt natural. They banter back and forth and she protects him from the scary daughter of his new sponsor. I laughed through it and even though the ending was predictable, I was still excited to see them come together. Definitely going to read the next book in the series. Thank you Bethany Michaels for a fun story!
Synopsis
